It's the farce that parodies the health craze, murder mysteries, and our favorite
food in Paul Freed's "Death by Chocolate", November 12, 13, 19, 20 at the Adams Memorial Opera House,
Route 102, Derry, New Hampshire.
Members of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort are dropping like flies, including famed chef Edith Chiles!
All on the eve of the grand re-opening! It's up to the delightfully sarcastic and cynical manager, John Stone,
to find the cause and the murderer. He teams up with mystery writer and amateur sleuth, Ed Parlor in a wacky race
against time. The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates, and the suspects include all the outlandish characters
working for the resort.
Could it be Lady Riverdale, the owner of the resort, a woman with dark secrets? Ralph Deadwood, the gym instructor
and all around cad? Dick Simmering, the areobics instructor? Anne, the panic stricken nurse? "Sweet Pea"
Meadowbrook, the eating and greiving daughter of the recently deceased founder of the resort? Or is it
one of "the others"?
