Synopsis
A twist on the Twain classic, there are two girls, born at the same time, and look excatly alike.
One grows up to be a spoiled Princess with a defiant attitude. The other grows up to be a kind-hearted, pennyless girl raised by paupers. Both want each other's life: The pauper dreams of majestic dances, reading and royalty, while the princess craves excitement, danger and freedom.
The Princess is running away to find her excitement, while Penny, the Pauper, is running for her life. They literally run into each other in "The Forest of Dreams and Shadows". Noticing their striking similarity, they switch clothes, switch identifies, and switch lives. It doesn't take long before both the royal family and the paupers realize there has been a drastic change in their child's attitude.
Both girls go through a series of suspenseful and humorous experiences until everyone lives "happily ever after".
